Attendance: Students are free to attend when able, or not attend. We recognize that many families have summer plans that may prevent students from attending on certain days or weeks.
We use a third-party vendor called 6crickets for the camp registration. If you are having trouble enrolling on their site, please email 6crickets directly at support@6crickets.com; that will be the fastest way to receive support.
You can also send a request using the Contact us form located at summerinwiseburn.org/contact. Turnaround time for a response is usually 1-3 business days.
The Da Vinci Schools Fund will give a full refund of tuition and fees if a Wiseburn-Da Vinci Summer Athletics Camp is cancelled due to no fault of the family/camper (e.g. if the youth program is cancelled in its totality, or the high school baseball camp is cancelled in its entirety).
If a family requests to withdraw or cancel its camper's participation, on or before May 1, 2025, a full refund will be granted.
After May 1, 2025, partial refunds (60%) are granted if the withdrawal from the parent is received by June 1.
No refunds will be made after June 1, 2025.
We recognize that many families have other summer plans that may conflict from time to time with camp. Your child may attend or not attend based on what works best for your family.
No, our camps are open to the general public. Anyone who wants to attend can, provided they are in the grade range specified for the particular camp.
Yes, absolutely. Our camps are open to all.
Please note: If you're a high school student who does not attend a Da Vinci high school, you may want to look into the CIF rules to ensure that you can attend a Da Vinci High School Athletics Camp and not violate CIF rules.
Unfortunately, no, not this year.
Last year we were able to use Right at School (RAS) as an extended care provider because of the campus camp was held at. This year, since we had to move the youth athletics camp to the high schools, we don't have RAS as an option.
That said, it's possible that you could sign your child up for an afternoon Da Vinci camp and they could stay on campus after the athletics camp is done, enjoy a supervised lunch, and then attend an afternoon camp.
Yes! Students of every level -- those with athletic experience and those just starting out -- are welcome.
Our coaches may find the need to group students based on age and experience level. All of our coaches are equipped to make those determinations once they understand the composition of students’ skill sets.
Yes, the max capacity for the 3rd-8th grade Summer Athletics Camp is 250 campers.
Spots are purchased on a first come, first served basis.
For the 3rd-8th grade athletics camp on Da Vinci Schools campus, we will have a minimum of the following:
- 1 approved adult coach and 2 camp counselors for every pod of 30 campers (roughly 9 adult coaches, 17 camp counselors for 250 campers)
- a minimum of 3-6 security staff on site at all times
- 1 Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) for any health-related incidents or needs
- 2 Adult, screened program managers overseeing the camp operations, campers, staff, and protocols
- Access to all of the Da Vinci Schools and Wiseburn USD leadership
All staff are either existing employees of Wiseburn USD, employees/coaches of Da Vinci, or have become employed by the Da Vinci Schools Fund in order to be a part of the summer camp program. All employees must go through and pass the required federal/state background checks.
Additionally, there will be a robust check-in and check-out process to ensure the safety and security of campers.
The degree of challenge your child may experience could depend on several factors, such as where your child's starting at, the overall composition of the camp, what the coaches are working with campers on in any given day, etc.
Will this be like private lessons or club training? No.
There will be roughly 60-80 students in each sport at any given time and students will be rotating through the different sports. A focus will be on teaching techniques, developing skills, having fun, and creating mindful opportunities for kids to bond with each other, learn/learn more about the sport, and grow.
The coaches are excited about the opportunity to spend time with these campers and to engage with them in the way that best serves all the campers.
No, we will not be supply meals or snacks. We recommend that all families pack a snack for their camper(s) as we will have a snack time during the 8am-12pm camp. Please also pack plenty of water for your camper. We will also have water stations around campus for campers to refill their bottles.
