  • When can I enroll my child/ren?
Enrollment for Wiseburn and Da Vinci students and families opens on March 1, 2024. If you live outside of the Wiseburn Unified School District and/or don’t attend a Da Vinci or Wiseburn school, you can enroll beginning March 16, 2024. Our camps are open to all students, no matter where you live or what school you go to.
  • Will the camps be split up by age or grade level?
Yes, we will have a camp for incoming 4th-8th grade students and another camp for incoming 9th-12th grade students.
  • What sports will be taught in the camps?
The 4th-8th grade program will provide a rotation of sports (soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, and possibly volleyball). The high school program for incoming 9th-12th grade students will provide the opportunity to condition, train, and develop their skills in the specific sport they choose (basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, cross country, archery and cheer). The sports were chosen based on family survey feedback; students of every level, those with athletic experience and those just starting out, are welcome.
  • When will the athletic camp start and how long will the camp last?
Both camps will be six weeks long, Mondays through Thursdays, starting on June 17, 2024 and ending on July 26, 2024. The camp for incoming 4th-8th graders will be from 8am-12pm and the camp for incoming 9th-12th graders will be from 12pm-4pm.
  • Do we need to attend every day of camp or can my child miss some days due to other family plans?
We recognize that many families have other summer plans that may conflict from time to time with camp. Your child may attend or not attend based on what works best for your family.
  • How will I know if I’m eligible for financial aid and how do I access it?
Financial aid will be available to all families who are eligible for the Free or Reduced Meal Program. To apply for aid, you must complete this Summer Financial Assistance form for each student. The verification process typically takes 3-4 business days, after which you will receive, via email, a code to use at checkout when you register for camp. We recommend you apply early to secure financial assistance in time for the priority registration period, which opens on March 1, 2024. For any questions or further assistance, families can contact the camp team through their website at https://www.summerinwiseburn.org/contact.
  • Are these camps only for Wiseburn and Da Vinci students/families?
No, our camps are open to the general public. Wiseburn and Da Vinci students and families have an early registration period from March 1 through March 15. After that, the programs will also be marketed to students and families outside of our schools.
  • Can I still attend camp even if I don’t go to a Wiseburn or Da Vinci school?
Yes, absolutely. Our camps are open to all.
  • Are there any extended care programs available in the afternoons?
Right now, we are not sure if there will be an extended camp program available for the afternoons. We are in discussions with Right at School to see if they will be able to provide an afternoon extended care solution on the school sites where camp will be held. We are also exploring the possibility of offering enrichment camps in the afternoons that could serve as extended care programs. More to come on this.
  • Will Da Vinci still run their regular summer camps in the summer of 2024?
Yes! Da Vinci will be running their regular summer camps as well, and we’re striving to schedule athletics and DV camps so that kids can attend both if they choose to. That said, there may be some conflicts due to scheduling, facilities, and/or teacher availability, so we ask for your understanding as we work to create the very best summer experience that we can. More information on Da Vinci’s camps will be shared soon, in emails and on this site.
  • What other kinds of summer camps will be available?
We are looking at offering various other types of summer programming. Please sign up to receive our email updates and be on the lookout for emails that include more information.
  • Can my child attend camp even if they don’t have any sports experience?
Yes! Students of every level -- those with athletic experience and those just starting out -- are welcome. Our coaches may find the need to group students based on experience level, especially in the high school camp, but our coaches are equipped to make those determinations once they understand the composition of students’ skill sets.
  • What is the cost for camp?
The cost of camp is $350 per child, for the full six weeks.
  • For the high school program, will Da Vinci’s high school coaches be coaching the summer athletics camp?
We are still finalizing the coaching roster, but the short answer is yes, when and where possible. We also have access to many other very talented coaches who will be participating.
  • Where will the camps be located?
The camps will run at Wiseburn USD school campuses, including the Wiseburn + Da Vinci Gym. Camp locations will be finalized in the coming weeks and posted before registration opens.

Thank you for your interest in our new Wiseburn + Da Vinci Summer Athletics Camps!
